Welcome to Rentify NZ! These general Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of our platform and services. By accessing or using Rentify NZ, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Rentify NZ is operated by Rentify Private Limited, a registered company in New Zealand. Rentify NZ is a peer-to-peer marketplace that connects users who want to rent or lend items. Embracing the principles of shared economy, we facilitate the temporary exchange of goods, allowing individuals to access items without purchasing them outright.
Eligibility
To use our platform, you must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into binding agreements. By using our services, you confirm that you meet these eligibility requirements.
Account Registration
To list or rent items, you must create an account. By registering, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information.
- Keep your account secure and confidential.
- Be fully responsible for all use of your account and for any actions that occur using your account.
Listing Items
We allow you to list items for rent without any listing fees. When listing an item, you agree to:
- Provide a detailed and truthful description of the item.
- Ensure the item is safe and functional.
- Update the listing promptly is the item becomes unavailable or if details change.
Renting Items
As a renter, you agree to:
- Treat items with care and return them in the same condition as received.
- Comply with any terms set by lender regarding the use and return of the item.
- Notify the lender of any issues with the item during the rental period.
Fees and Payments
Listing items on Rentify NZ is free of charge. But, we charge 12.5% commission on every successful rental transaction. This commission is deducted from the rental fee paid by the renter. All payments and transactions are processed through our platform for security and convenience.
Cancellations and Refunds
Both renters and lenders can cancel a transaction under certain conditions. Our cancellation policy outlines the circumstances and any potential fees. Refunds are subject to our refund policy, which is designed to ensure the fairness and protect both parties.
User Conduct
You agree to use our platform responsibly and in accordance with these terms:
- Respect other users and their property.
- Do not engage in any fraudulent, illegal or harmful activities.
- Refrain from posting or transmitting any inappropriate, defamatory or offensive content.
Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute between users, we encourage you to resolve the issue amicably. If needed, Rentify NZ can assist in mediating the dispute, but we are not liable for the resolution.
Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information. By using our platform, you consent to our data practices.
Intellectual Property
All content on Rentify NZ, including text, graphics, logos and software is owned by Rentify Private Limited or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use our content without express permission.
Disclaimers
Rentify NZ acts as a facilitator for peer-to-peer rentals. We do not own, manage or verify the items listed. We are not responsible for the actions of users or the condition of the items rented through our platform.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rentify Private Limited is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Rentify NZ.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised Terms on our website and update the effective date. Your continued use of our platform after any changes indicates your acceptance of the new Terms.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Rentify NZ at any time, with or without cause or notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or are engaging in harmful activities.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms will be resolved in the courts of New Zealand.
